With a career in insurance that began in 1980, Lauren Tonjes brings over forty years of experience and dedication to her role as Inside Sales and Service Representative at The Agency, where she has served since 2015. Lauren offers an extensive range of coverage options—including Home, Auto, Umbrella, Hurricane, Flood, Commercial, Motorcycle, Boat, and more. She is known for her ability to connect with customers, listen attentively to their needs, and provide clear, reassuring guidance that helps them feel secure in their choices. Since starting her insurance career in 2022, Angelina Hughes has quickly become a Sales Producer at The Agency, where she’s been proudly assisting customers since 2023. What drives Angelina most in her work is helping people understand their coverage choices and seeing their assets are well protected. Having started his career in 2015, Ryan has developed extensive knowledge in both Personal and Commercial Lines—including Home, Auto, Motorcycle, Renters, and General Liability coverage. Tanya Schaffer joined Erick Ellgren’s Allstate Agency in November 2024, bringing over 11 years of experience in the insurance industry. Her career began in Claims and insurance with two national companies, where she developed a strong foundation in customer service and problem-solving before transitioning into sales. As an Outbound Sales Producer, Tanya holds a Property & Casualty license and focuses on Auto, Home, Renters, Landlord, Motorcycle, Umbrella, Flood, Hurricane, and more. She is known for her enthusiasm, drive, and commitment to delivering results for customers through efficient one-call closes and strong multi-policy solutions. Patricia Kaanoi

Patricia Kaanoi joined The Agency in 2025, bringing a warm approach and strong attention to detail to the Inside Sales and Customer Service team. Beginning her insurance career in 2022, she has developed valuable experience in assisting customers with Auto, Home, Hurricane, Flood, and Rental insurance. Patricia is passionate about helping customers solve problems and helping see their coverage choices provides the protection they need. Her genuine care for others extends beyond her professional work. Patricia is deeply involved in animal rescue, having cared for and found homes for more than 25 kittens across Hawaii. Although she is highly allergic to cats, her compassion and dedication to helping them never waver.

Alida joined the Agency in 2025 and brings with her valuable experience from her years in the insurance industry. She specializes in Property and Casualty Insurance, and her favorite part of the job is helping people protect what matters most to them. Outside of work, Courtney is an adventurer at heart. She completed a two-hour open circuit dive using side mount equipment, and she once rappelled 40 stories off the roof of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki to raise money for the Hawaii Special Olympics. Courtney’s passion for helping others and her adventurous spirit make her a fantastic addition to our team.

Michelle Santos

With a career in insurance spanning back to 1996, Michelle Santos brings nearly three decades of industry experience to the agency. Over the last 11 years, she has been instrumental to the agency’s growth—first as a standout Sales Professional for nine years, and now as Operations Manager. She finds the greatest satisfaction in watching her colleagues grow in skill and confidence, and she’s known for fostering a supportive, high-performing culture grounded in excellence and care. Outside the office, Michelle is a published author who enjoys puzzles, card games, and board games—bringing the same strategic mindset and focus to her hobbies as she does to her leadership.
